About Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is an altered and heightened state of awareness that is sometimes referred to as a trance state. You slip in and out of trance states throughout the day, when you daydream, when you are deeply focused on a task, and when you are at your most relaxed and comfortable. This is often when the best ideas 'pop' into your mind. There are two main parts to the mind, the conscious and the subconscious. Being hypnotised allows you to connect with your subconscious mind, where you store your memories, experiences, past events, and your beliefs.
Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to gain access to the subconscious mind, so that it can find solutions to issues that the conscious mind has been unable to deal with. For example, if you have a fear or a phobia, or are depressed or lack confidence, this is often because of an experience early in your life. It may not have been necessarily a traumatic event, but as a child, you viewed it in a certain way. You might have no recollection of it, but whatever it was has kept you running on a programme throughout your life, and so certain situations and events will trigger a reaction from you. Hypnotherapy works to identify the early experience and programming, subsequently altering the perception of the experience in a beneficial and positive way.
A course of hypnotherapy varies between one and eight sessions depending on the condition being addressed.

What Benefits can be Expected?
One of the huge advantages of hypnotherapy is that it can usually get to the root of the problem and help sort it out much quicker than with traditional psychotherapy. Whilst in hypnosis, your subconscious is more receptive to positive suggestions and so the hypnotherapist can help to reframe the way you think and feel about certain things, replacing negativity and unhelpful fears with thoughts and feelings which are more positive and beneficial to you.

Remote hypnotherapy session (50 mins) - £85.00
